Zephyr Tahoe Cleaning: Why We Built an Exterior Cleaning Site for Lake Tahoe

Pine needles, snow-packed gutters and owners who live hours away make Lake Tahoe exterior cleaning its own kind of job. Here's why we built Zephyr Tahoe Cleaning and how it's set up to bring in calls.
We keep telling trades that a website you own, built the right way, is a lead-gen asset. So we keep building them. This one is Zephyr Tahoe Cleaning, a lake-safe exterior cleaning site for Zephyr Cove, Stateline and the rest of the Lake Tahoe Basin, plus the Carson Valley, Carson City and Reno.
Here's why it exists, what's on it, and how it's set up to turn searches into calls.
Why Lake Tahoe needed it
Tahoe homes sit under pine trees, and pines drop needles. Those needles pack gutters and roofs, snow piles on top, and a clogged gutter can overflow or ice up. Spring brings pollen film and sap. Decks take a beating from sun, snow and traffic. Exterior cleaning here isn't a once-in-a-while job. It runs on two busy seasons, spring and fall.
A lot of these houses are second homes and vacation rentals, and many owners live in the Bay Area. They can't drive up every time the gutters fill or a rental needs a turnover. They need a local crew that can coordinate access, do the work, and send before and after photos.
The lake adds one more thing. Tahoe isn't a place for careless wash water, so the site leads with lake-safe, biodegradable products and TRPA-aware handling of runoff, especially near docks and the shore.
That's the idea behind the site: one number and one quote form for the outside of a Tahoe home. Leads are qualified and then routed to local exterior cleaning pros. The site also says plainly that it's outdoor and building-envelope care, not housekeeping or carpet cleaning, so the calls that come in are the right ones.
What's on the site
Thirteen service pages
Every service gets its own page, so the site can show up for the exact job someone is searching for:
- Pine needle and gutter cleaning, the main money page
- Roof cleaning for needles, cones, moss and lichen
- Defensible space cleanup for the 5-foot zone, fire district and insurance needs
- Deck cleaning and staining
- Log home and siding care
- Window cleaning for pollen, dust and lake haze
- Pollen cleanup and pine sap removal
- Driveway and paver cleaning
- Dock, pier and boat lift cleaning
- Outdoor furniture and hot tub cleaning for guest turnovers
- Ice dam removal with low-pressure steam and no chipping
- Exterior drain cleaning for yard drains, downspouts and catch basins before winter
The homepage also covers power washing in Zephyr Cove for decks, driveways, pavers, siding and docks, with the pressure matched to each surface.
Fifteen town pages
Zephyr Cove and Stateline are the core routes, and each gets its own page. So do South Lake Tahoe, Incline Village, Crystal Bay, Glenbrook, Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Tahoe City, Truckee, Carson City, Minden, Gardnerville, Reno and Sparks.
Seasons and straight answers
The site lays out what happens in each season: spring for snowmelt debris, pollen, gutters, decks and defensible space; summer for windows, decks and rental turnovers; fall for gutters and roofs before snow; and winter for ice dams. It recommends spring and fall packages over one-off panic cleans, and the FAQ answers what owners ask first, like whether work can happen while they're away. The homepage FAQ section puts it this way: “clear answers instead of fake reviews.”
How it's set up to bring in calls
- Phone above the fold. (916) 494-8868 sits in the header, the hero and the footer, and it works with one tap on a phone.
- A quote form right in the hero. It asks for the service, the town, property notes like the gate code process, and the preferred timing, such as a spring package or before guests arrive.
- A free estimate booking calendar. Under the quote form, visitors can pick a date and time for a free estimate visit, and there's a full appointment page as well. The booking details are published in a format AI assistants can read, so a bot can book on someone's behalf.
- Tagged leads. Every form email is labeled as a lead or a booking with the site name and the page it came from, so it's easy to see which pages are working.
- Absentee-owner copy. Photo reports and access coordination are front and center, because that's what a Bay Area owner needs to hear before they call.
- Search Console verified, with the pages being sent to Google for indexing.
Why this matters for your trade
Exterior cleaning is just one example. The same setup works for plumbers, roofers, HVAC, painters, landscapers and handymen around Reno, Sparks and Tahoe: a page for each service, a page for each town you really serve, seasonal content that matches when people actually search, a phone number nobody has to hunt for, a way to book a visit, and lead tracking so you know what's working. It's the same playbook we use for website design and local SEO at Reno Map Pros.
